The Missouri Immunization Coalition (MIC) is on the road to have a conversation with you! “Vax Facts: Conversations for Better Health” is the slogan behind MIC’s new statewide COVID-19 campaign that launches this fall. “Our new campaign brings the COVID-19 vaccination conversation to the general public and underscores how important it is for each of us to have a conversation on vaccinations with our local healthcare provider,” said Nicole Cope, MIC’s Executive Director.

MIC’s new statewide campaign captures Missourians (not actors) asking healthcare providers real questions about COVID-19. The campaign captures the thoughts, feelings, and questions that many of us have about COVID-19 and the vaccines. “Remember back in school when we were too hesitant to raise our hand and ask a question, and how relieved we were when someone else raised their hand and asked the very question we had. This campaign addresses the questions that many of us have about this disease and the vaccines, but have been reluctant to ask,” said Cope. “This campaign furthers our mission of preventing diseases, promoting vaccinations, and protecting Missourians.”

MIC’s new COVID-19 campaign is the result of a survey conducted by MIC. The outcomes of that survey were recently published in an article titled, “Enhancing COVID-19 Vaccination Promotion Campaign Strategies in Missouri: An Examination of Barriers and Opportunities for Improvement.”

This campaign is being shot on location all over the state–from our largest cities to small towns. Expect to see and hear this campaign in various forms of media throughout the state in October.
