MIC is Awarded $30,000 American Academy of Pediatrics Grant

The Missouri Immunization Coalition (MIC) has successfully secured a $30,000 grant from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) through the COVID-19/RSV/Flu Health Equity Partnership Grants. Among the multitude of eligible applicants, MIC stands out as one of the eight organizations nationwide honored with this grant.

This grant aims to bolster initiatives that counter misinformation surrounding COVID-19/Flu/RSV vaccines and enhance community-wide vaccine confidence. This involves harnessing community health infrastructure to deploy culturally affirming strategies that build vaccine confidence, particularly targeting children under 18 in Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous, or other marginalized communities, including refugees.

“MIC is honored to have been awarded this grant. It aligns perfectly with our mission to promote immunizations, prevent disease, and protect all Missourians,” said Nicole Cope, MIC’s Executive Director.
