As the Back-to-School season approaches, the Missouri Immunization Coalition (MIC) reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting immunizations and educating about vaccine-preventable diseases for school-aged children. We are calling local healthcare providers to join us in the Back-to-School campaign to remind parents to schedule their children’s physicals as a way to ensure they are ready to start the school year.
MIC has allocated funds to print a vaccine schedule with all recommended immunizations for school-aged children, and the good news is that we can co-brand! Last year, we distributed 10,425 schedules among 16 counties in Missouri with the help of Local Public Health Agencies and Federally Qualified Health Centers, which handed out the materials at their local back-to-school events. We aim to reach as many families as possible to protect our children from severe diseases. We appreciate your contribution to the distribution of this vaccine schedule.
